Quincy Lions install Charles Phelan as president

The Quincy Lions Club installed its officers for the year 2012-2013 at a reception and dinner held June 21 at The Neighborhood Club.

New officers installed include: Charles Phelan, president; Jeff Poirier, first vice president; Lola Tom, second vice president; Sean Glennon, third vice president; Loretta McTiernan, secretary; and Karen Giovanniello, treasurer.

Phelan, a Wollaston resident, received the club?s Lion of the Year Award from outgoing president Donna Muller.

Phelan is the chief information officer for the City of Quincy. His wife, Michelle Lydon, served as president of the Lions Club from 2009-2010.
