How Bar Supplies Could Spell The Success Of Your Business ...

Having connections in the restaurant business will get you places, particularly when it comes to buying supplies so you could run your bar properly. Just one call and soon you could have your specific orders being filled and the deliveries brought straight to your doorstep. In busy joints, this is a task that runs on a daily basis, in other it can be done twice in a day, and other four times in a week.

Bar supplies would never be complete without the inclusion of consumables. Washrooms are a point of interest and, in every washroom, you should make sure they never run out of paper towels. In order to avoid wastage of paper towels, however, you should make sure there is a trusty paper towel dispenser in the washroom. You also have the option of giving table napkins to customers only when they are being served their orders or you could have a small table napkin dispenser on each table. You can do the same thing for drinking straws and ever stirrers. You should make it a point to never run out of these bar supplies.

Keep in mind that in bars, whenever drinks are spilled or wasted, you are looking at losses. Serve the drinks in bottles especially for customers who prefer them served in that manner. In some cases, drinks are preferred by many to be served in small amounts in glasses. There are different serving measurements and you must avoid spilling any of them because you might end up running out of drinks. If you have kegs, they will have special pumps pourers that make it easy to serve up drinks. If you don?t have a keg and only have bottles to work with, you have to resort to getting the right kind of pourers since it would be quite difficult without them. You could choose between the curved pourers and the straight pourers because they can easily handle the bottles as you serve drinks. If you are going to choose a pourer, look for one with a valve that will be used to regulate the amount of liquor in every serving. Shots and servings of drinks with precise measurements can also be served using special pourers that are customized to do just that.

Aside from attracting more customers and increasing your clientele, you should keep your place of business clean because you, as a service provider in the hospitality industry, are bound by law to do so. You should make it a point to have bar supplies that will address hygienic issues and concerns in your bar. These include cleaning products that are used for the bar counter, floor, and other surfaces, as well as the cleaning supplies used for utensils. If you need the use of special machines for the job, then it will be prudent to include them in your list of bar supplies.

Make sure you keep track of the utensils you use in the normal course of your business. You can also run the risk of running low on stock when it comes to glasses, since they can break easily. In order to make the necessary replacement orders and avoid running low on supplies, you should keep an eye out on these broken glasses and utensils. Serving utensils like ice buckets and trays should also be paid attention to since they are the ones used directly to serve the customers. Make a list of important bar supplies and keep track of those, which are fast consumable, addressing those first and then dealing with the rest later.
