Keiser University College of Golf School has named Timmy Lynn King Jr. of the U.S. Marine Corp as the new recipient of the Keiser University College of Golf Wounded Warrior Scholarship. The scholarship will cover 100 percent of King?s tuition and educational expenses for the term which began on June 25, 2012.King, a native of Ashford, Ala., joined the Marines in January 2004 and, during his service, he was deployed once in Afghanistan and twice in Iraq where he served as a squad leader of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines. He received a United States Marine Corp Certificate of Commendation and a Department of the Navy, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He was honorably discharged in May 2008.
King seeks to become a golf instructor and work with young people, just as he has done previously as a baseball instructor for children.
