JOB PURPOSE This position is responsible for the acquisition of hospitality sales leads and to build revenues through client relationships. The Business Development Manager will help to support an aggressive effort to identify, research, prospect, and sell to acquire new revenue and business leads for Signature Worldwide products, programs and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ? Responsible for taking incoming inquiry calls for hospitality sales, responding to those calls, and turning them into closed sales. ? Sell products and services to gain new hospitality business leads and referrals through telephone and email prospecting, cold-calling, and networking. ? Analyze customer and prospective customer training and development needs. ? Use consultative selling techniques, via the phone, email and other social media channels to demonstrate the value of Signature Worldwide products and services. ? Recommend training and development solutions that lead to negotiation and the closing of new business contracts. ? Ensure profitable sales volume through lead generation and selling activities. ? Monitor, manage, and analyze various business opportunities using salesforce.com. ? Participate in the planning of hospitality trade shows and post-show follow up. ? Promote Signature Worldwide public speaking engagements though prospecting calls and emails. ? Develop and maintain perspective client list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads. ? Engage in lead generating activities as needed ? including generation of landing pages and SEO on website, hotel industry research, telephone sales blitzes. ? Re-establish former customer relationships by proactively calling new or inactive accounts/prospects in order to introduce new products, programs and services.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS ? Success in building repeat business through exemplary customer service. ? Previous experience in business-to-business sales or marketing. ? Actively networks with contacts at the management or brand-level of hotels. ? Ability and willingness to make prospecting (cold) calls to potential clients. ? Approaches prospects through solid consultative skills and approaches in order to understand and present solutions to customer problems. ? The ability to analyze results of sales and marketing campaigns. ? The ability to systematically approach problems and challenges by breaking down the larger outcome into smaller, logical steps. ? The ability to develop and follow a plan regarding sales and prospecting. ? Experience working on a fast-paced and dynamic sales team. ? Proven ability to establish a connection and rapport quickly with clients and prospective clients. ? Experience developing relationships, via phone, email and face-to-face meetings with targeted prospect accounts ? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent educational experience in Business, Marketing, and/or Sales. ? Must be able to demonstrate direct sales record of three (3) or more years at a high-level of achievement. ? One year of Hospitality work experience in front desk service, front desk supervision or management, or in hospitality sales or marketing. ? Ability to travel 20% of the time. ? Active on several social media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook minimum).
